Adult & Child Ambrose Tournament – Rules (Brief Guide)

Teams consist of 1 adult and 1 child. (Or older junior if no adult is available.

This is an Ambrose format, meaning both players tee off, the best shot is chosen, and both players play their next shot from that spot. This continues until the ball is holed.

Aim for fun, teamwork, and learning, with the adult guiding and supporting the child.
Handicaps

Adults without an official handicap will play on a Q Handicap of 24.

If you have previously held a handicap, please use that instead.

Golfers are asked to be honest and fair when declaring their handicap to keep the competition enjoyable for everyone.
General Play

Place the ball within one scorecard length (no closer to the hole).

Play ready golf and keep pace with the group in front.

Encourage good sportsmanship and positive experiences for all junior players.

Welfare and Safety

The safety, wellbeing, and happiness of all children is of paramount importance to us.

In the event of illness or injury of your child, we will contact you and medical authorities promptly, and all appropriate steps will be taken to ensure you child’s wellbeing. Any medical costs will be your responsibility.
• Children should be dressed appropriately for the tournament.
• Each child should have their own drink bottle and golf cap.
Limit of Liability
• There is an element of risk in our tournament, and by enrolling your child in our tournament, you are deemed to have accepted those risks on behalf of your child. You should make yourself familiar with those risks before you make a booking.
• We will take all reasonable care of your child and his/her property during their participation in the program, but will not be responsible for any injury to your child or loss of or damage to your child’s property.
Privacy Act
• All information collected by JW GOLF will only be used for the purpose of establishing and maintaining records held by Futures HB, and will not be released or made available to any other person or organization without your prior specific consent. You will be able to access that information and correct it in accordance with our Privacy Act.
Photo Policy
• We reserve the right to take photos of activities and children participating in those activities for promotional and publicity purposes. By enrolling your child in our tournament you give your consent for photos to be taken of your child. If you do not want photos of the enrolled child to be taken or used for promotional purposes you must state this in writing to info@jwgolfglobal.com.
Indemnity

By booking a child/children in the tournament, you do so at their sole risk and your responsibility. You also hold harmless JW GOLF, against any actions or claims arising out of any injury, loss or damage caused by negligence, breach of contract or any other manner whatsoever.

Futures HB reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any child from a program where the terms and conditions have not been complied with or for safety reasons.
